Anaya Bangar, daughter of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar, has captured public attention through a candid digital appearance where she opened up about her choices regarding popular Indian cricketers. Known for her prominent presence on social media and distinctive fashion styling, she recently participated in a lively rapid-fire segment during an interview, shedding light on her personality and future sporting aspirations.

## Playful rapid-fire responses spark widespread online interest
During an appearance featured on Krishnank Atre's YouTube channel, Anaya was presented with a classic playful scenario involving three rising stars of the Indian national cricket team: Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer. The prompt tasked her with distributing three conventional choices: marry, hook up, or eliminate.

Faced with the selection, Anaya hesitated momentarily before thoughtfully sharing her picks. She picked Abhishek Sharma as the cricketer she would marry, selected Shubman Gill for a casual hookup, and designated Shreyas Iyer for the elimination slot. The light-hearted exchange rapidly circulated across social media platforms, sparking discussions among cricket fans.

## Journey through transition and sporting roots
Beyond digital appearances, Anaya has been open about her significant personal transformation. Before her gender-affirming surgery, she was known as Aryan and actively competed in men's age-group cricket for Mumbai. Her deep connection to the sport stems naturally from her family background, having grown up watching the highest levels of the game closely.

In 2022, she made the defining personal choice to undergo gender transition. With the surgical and medical processes now complete, she has set her sights back on the cricket field, working diligently to navigate the evolving global landscape for transgender athletes in competitive sport.

## Eyes on Australia and advocacy for inclusive cricket
To reignite her playing career, Anaya is planning a move to Australia, where sporting regulations offer clearer pathways for transgender competitors. She recently spent time in Australia laying the groundwork for potential club and league engagements. Expectations are building that she could feature as a transgender athlete in future editions of competitions such as the Women's Big Bash League.

Alongside her personal ambitions, Anaya has actively advocated for policy reform within Indian domestic sport. She appealed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to mirror frameworks established overseas. Reflecting on the differences in athletic policies, she remarked, "If the BCCI does what Australia has done, that would be a very good thing." Her journey highlights the ongoing international dialogue surrounding eligibility, fairness, and representation in modern women's athletics.
