The main written examinations will be held starting December 4, 2026. Classes for the second, fourth, sixth and eighth semesters will begin on January 1, 2027. A mid semester break will then run from March 21 to March 28, 2027, with classes resuming on March 29, 2027. Preparation for practical examinations will start from April 30, 2027, and theory classes will end around the same time. Final written examinations for even semester students will begin on May 13. Once the academic session concludes, summer vacation will run from June 3 to July 20, 2027, after which the next academic session will begin.

Change in the current session's summer break
Delhi University has also clarified that to ensure the new academic calendar is implemented smoothly, the summer vacation for the ongoing 2025-26 session has been extended. The break, originally scheduled to end on July 20, will now continue until July 27, 2026. This has been done so that the new session can begin on July 28 without any delay.
