The controversy traces back to one of Pranit More's live shows. A 22-year-old man named Himanshu Jangra, seated in the audience, narrated an anecdote from his dating life, saying he had treated a girl to a ₹370 chicken biryani. When the girl asked to go home after the date, the man said some objectionable words into the mic.

At that moment, the audience present there and Pranit More himself broke into loud laughter. Pranit labelled it 'peak Gurgaon content' and even handed the young man a 5000 rupee reward for his story. ## What Pranit More Said in the Video
It was amid this pressure that Pranit put out a video to explain himself. He said, 'You all must have seen my crowd work video. I am getting a lot of hate for it. I feel I deserve this hate too. When I was talking to that boy, he said quite a few wrong things. But at that time everyone was laughing. I too got carried away by emotions and there was a lapse in judgement on my part. This was a very big mistake of mine.'

Pointing to the responsibility that comes with the mic and the stage for a comedian, he added, 'Had I wanted, I could have stopped him right there or taken a stand. But I couldn't do that. I gave him a platform, because of which the matter blew up so much. To everyone who has been hurt because of this, I apologise. This was a very big mistake of mine.'

## 'I'm Cooperating With Police, Give Me One More Chance'
On the legal front, he assured that he was fully cooperating with the investigation. Pranit said, 'Whatever legal action is being taken against me, I am fully cooperating with the police and the authorities in it. I just want to request that please give me one chance. I will prove myself by becoming a better person. This was a big lesson for me. Now I will work on myself and on my content.'
