# Laduora Duo Review: I Used This Red-Light Therapy Hair Brush for Six Weeks — Here's What Actually Changed

> The Laduora Duo is a high-tech brush that combines red-light therapy, microcurrents, vibration and warmth to promote scalp health. In TrendKia's testing it didn't add length, but it did sprout baby hairs and add visible fullness.

Thicker, longer hair is something almost everyone wishes for, but that goal feels distant when your hair is chronically dry, very thin and grows at a snail's pace. Split ends, constant tangling and large chunks pulling out during brushing make matters worse. With exactly those frustrations in mind, TrendKia spent several weeks testing the Laduora Duo to see whether it could genuinely cultivate a healthier scalp and encourage new growth.

## The Bottom Line: Did It Grow Longer, Thicker Hair?
Honestly, it didn't deliver the flowing, novel-cover length some might hope for. There was no noticeable change in length. What it did do, though, was sprout fresh baby hairs along the hairline, while the accompanying pod serums helped smooth out flyaways.

## One Device, Four Technologies
The Laduora Duo aims to support stronger, thicker hair in several ways at once: red-light therapy at 660 nanometers, microcurrents at 330 to 400 microamperes, sonic vibration, warmth, and a serum. Laduora claims you'll see results in as few as four weeks by using the device for just five minutes daily — and once you're used to it, you can run it for up to 30 minutes a day.

## It Looks Like a High-Tech Brush
In appearance it's essentially a high-tech brush. It charges over a USB cable, takes roughly four hours for a full charge, and then runs for 60 minutes on a single charge — about 12 individual five-minute sessions. There's a single button on the whole device: it powers the brush on and off, and the same button cycles through the three modes, Gentle, Balance, and Boost.

There isn't much information about what each setting does, but every mode steps up the overall intensity of the vibrations. Those vibrations come through small, rounded metal nib bristles that buzz the scalp in short, pulsing intervals. The bristles are short, hard and don't move, so a word of caution: they can snag in tangled hair. Once the five-minute session ends, the device shuts off automatically.

## What It Feels Like in Use
While running, the brush heats up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit to boost blood flow and help the pod ingredients absorb deeper into the scalp, follicle and hair shaft. Even so, the effect I felt most physically was the vibration. The buzzing teeth act like a quasi-scalp massage, easing tension and encouraging circulation — that tingly sensation you get when someone plays with your hair or lightly scratches your scalp with their fingers.

The microcurrents work alongside the warmth to promote growth by improving circulation and stimulating the follicles. Tellingly, it was hard to tell the microcurrents apart from the vibrations, since the microcurrents also produce a low, similar-feeling hum.

## Results After Six Weeks
After every session my scalp felt revitalized and invigorated, as if someone had just given me a finger massage. The hard metal bristles helped cut down scalp buildup and stimulate follicles in spots I don't usually pay attention to. Within about six weeks I saw baby hairs sprouting at the crown of my head, and noticed more fullness near my temples when my hair was combed back or pulled into an updo.
