The seized inventory featured two country-made 12-bore guns, 14 additional 12-bore firearms bearing various manufacturer, serial, and license markings, 1,225 rounds of 12-bore ammunition, six VHF wireless sets alongside three chargers, a Golden Antler telescope, 18 bulletproof vests, and a pouch.

During the withdrawal of security personnel following the operation, villagers, primarily women, established a road blockade using stones, demanding the return of the unverified firearms and ammunition. Security forces cleared the obstruction and successfully restored order to the area.

 

## Additional Arrest in Imphal East

In a related development, security personnel from Kakching commando unit apprehended an alleged active cadre of the proscribed RPF/PLA during a search operation conducted at Kiyamgei Awang Leikai under the jurisdiction of the Irilbung police station in Imphal East.

The detained individual was identified as 35-year-old Nameirakpam Sanju Meitei alias Nganba, who was arrested directly from his residence. Law enforcement agencies recovered an AK rifle, an SMG carbine, nine weapon magazines, 737 rounds of varied ammunition, three bulletproof plates, and three bulletproof jackets from his possession. Further investigations into the networks are currently ongoing.
