## Silver Prices and Expert Market Outlook

In contrast to gold, silver prices have remained completely unchanged from the previous session. Silver continues to be priced at Rs 255 per gram and Rs 2,55,000 per kilogram across India today.

Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd. and President of the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd., shared his perspective on the market trajectory by stating that with the Producer Price Index due on Thursday and the Consumer Price Index on Friday, a hot print could place further pressure on gold, whereas a soft reading might open room toward $4,400. He added that gold appears set to trade within a $4,300 (roughly Rs 150,000) to $4,500 (roughly Rs 157,000) band, favoring a buy-the-dip and sell-the-rally approach for now, while noting that silver has more room to run as holding above $67 (roughly Rs 243,000) paves the path toward $70 (roughly Rs 247,000).

## What this means for you
The recent rebound in precious metal prices directly impacts retail jewelry buyers, retail investors, and participants trading in domestic commodity markets.

- **Across India:** Higher domestic gold rates mean retail consumers purchasing gold for upcoming festivities or weddings will face increased upfront expenses. Buyers should monitor daily price trends carefully before finalizing their purchases.

- **For Investors:** Upcoming macroeconomic data releases from the United States will continue to drive short-term price fluctuations in bullion. Investors maintaining exposure to precious metals should account for potential volatility tied to upcoming inflation reports and currency movements.

## Why this happened
The recovery in domestic gold prices was driven primarily by shifting international currency dynamics and anticipation surrounding major US macroeconomic reports.

- **Weaker US Dollar:** A softer dollar index globally makes dollar-denominated commodities more attractive to holders of other currencies, providing immediate upward momentum to international gold prices.

- **Upcoming Inflation Reports:** Market participants are positioning themselves ahead of critical US inflation prints and producer price metrics that will dictate the near-term interest rate trajectory of the Federal Reserve.

- **Crude Oil Momentum:** Sustained strength in global oil prices has amplified broader inflation hedging demand, reinforcing safe-haven flows into precious metals.
