Prime Video and TVF have dropped the entertaining trailer of their upcoming comedy-drama web series 'Gram Chikitsalaya Season 2', and it is bound to leave viewers chuckling. Produced under The Viral Fever banner and directed by Lalitam Tiwari, the series is written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava, and has been put together jointly by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar. The laugh-out-loud trailer shows how Dr Prabhat is struggling hard to bring a run-down primary health centre in Bhathkandi back on track, only to soon realise that some ailments cannot be cured with medicines and instead call for an entirely different approach.

## Web Series Cast and Release Date

In 'Gram Chikitsalaya Season 2', Amol Parashar, Aakash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor and Garima Vikrant Singh are all set to return in their respective roles, while this time Dinesh Lal Yadav will also join the series in a key part. The new season is ready to premiere in Hindi exclusively on Prime Video on 23 June, in India as well as across 240 countries around the world.

## Which Direction Will the Season Two Story Take?

The trailer offers a glimpse of the mission of Dr Prabhat (Amol Parashar), in which he tries to restore a dilapidated primary health centre in Bhathkandi to its former self. Just as he becomes convinced that the villagers are now on his side, fresh challenges begin to pile up before him. Dr Prabhat believes that if his hospital earns the title of a model PHC, all his troubles will end. But he soon understands that success does not come merely from a medical degree and running a good hospital. Amid the villagers' odd attitudes, the tangles of local politics, the suspicion lodged in people's hearts and the ever-present shortage of essential supplies, will Dr Prabhat manage to find the right cure for Bhathkandi's many problems, or will it turn out that setting all this right is beyond him?

## What Amol Parashar Says About the Series

Amol Parashar, who plays the lead role of Dr Prabhat in the series, said, 'In this new chapter, my character's journey in Bhathkandi moves forward in a way that perhaps no one would have imagined. He has earned a little success, but at the same time, new troubles have cropped up in front of him. What I liked best about this series is that it captures the real and serious problems of village hospitals on screen with great honesty, and then presents them with humour, warmth, comedy and emotion in such a way that the story feels personal to viewers of every age and every region.'

## What Vinay Pathak Had to Say

Vinay Pathak, who plays the character of Chetan Kumar, said, 'TVF has always presented grounded stories of ordinary people that reach straight into the hearts of viewers, and Gram Chikitsalaya is the finest example of this. The strength of this show is that it depicts the truth of village hospitals and the lives of the people there with warmth, humour and genuine emotion. In the new season, relationships will grow deeper, the troubles will be more tangled, and the journey of these characters will become even more entertaining. I am eagerly waiting for the moment when viewers return to this world once again and reconnect with the entire village.'

## Akanksha Ranjan's Statement on the Series

Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, who plays the character of Dr Gargi, said, 'In this new season, the poor state of village hospitals, village politics and the everyday struggles of ordinary people have been presented from a fresh perspective. My character is grounded and ambitious to move ahead, yet she is also well aware of what is possible and what is not within the circumstances she works in. The thing I liked most about my character is that she is fearless and knows how to speak her mind openly. It felt wonderful to once again be part of a story that feels completely real and, along with entertaining people, also offers a lesson in doing something good.'

## Dinesh Lal Yadav's Reaction

Dinesh Lal Yadav, who plays the character of Babu Sahab, said, 'I watched the first season of Gram Chikitsalaya soon after its release, and what I liked most was that it had been crafted very beautifully. It depicts the village atmosphere, the daily rush and difficulties, the camaraderie among people and their reluctance to trust outsiders with great authenticity, yet in a light-hearted manner. The best thing about this series is that it shows real problems, but in a way that brings a smile to your face and makes you laugh while also pushing you to think. I am grateful to TVF for presenting such stories rooted in real life, and to Prime Video as well, for taking these grounded Indian stories to viewers in every corner of the world.'
