Setting an inspiring example of love for nature and wildlife, a grand five-storey shelter has been constructed for birds in the Bagru area of Jaipur rural. This unique structure has been built inside a local temple complex, featuring around 250 to 300 small compartments where birds can safely build their nests and reside. This initiative not only provides a secure habitat for birds but also sends out a strong message to society regarding wildlife conservation and ecological responsibility. The project was brought to life by social worker Kailash Kumawat and his elder brother Jagdish Kumawat. Preparing this five-storey shelter involved an expenditure of approximately 8 to 10 lakh rupees.

## A safe haven amidst rapid urbanization
In modern times, rapid urbanization, shrinking green cover, and changing environmental conditions are severely impacting the natural habitats of birds. Often, birds struggle to find appropriate and secure locations to build their nests. In such a scenario, the shelter built within the Bagru temple premises proves to be extremely useful. The five-storey structure can accommodate hundreds of birds, offering them a secure shared habitat in a single location. Such community-driven efforts help mitigate the pressures that modern development places on local fauna.

## Arrangements for food and water
Providing just a physical shelter for birds is not sufficient; ensuring their daily food and water needs is equally critical, especially during the harsh summer months when water scarcity becomes a major challenge. Under this initiative, dedicated arrangements for grain and water have been established around the shelter to ensure that birds never run out of sustenance. These supplementary provisions help create a welcoming and bird-friendly environment within the temple premises, allowing the visiting flocks to thrive comfortably throughout the year.

## Fostering ecological balance and social responsibility
Birds are an essential component of the natural ecosystem, playing a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Consequently, efforts directed towards their preservation carry immense significance. The initiative led by Kailash Kumawat and Jagdish Kumawat demonstrates that social service should extend beyond human welfare to include the protection of mute animals and nature. This multi-storey sanctuary in Bagru serves as a shining example for others, proving that proactive community participation can significantly improve the lives of small creatures while advancing broader environmental conservation goals.
