The King ordered that the boy be imprisoned immediately. Meanwhile, when the boy failed to return home, his parents were overcome with anxiety. The next day happened to be the mother's Pradosh Vrat, which she observed diligently while praying to Lord Shiva for her son's safety.\n\nThat night, Lord Shiva appeared in the King's dream, warning him that the boy in the dungeon was innocent. Shiva commanded the King to release him by morning, or else his entire kingdom and fortune would be destroyed. Upon waking, the terrified King immediately ordered the boy's release. The boy recounted his entire ordeal to the King, who then ordered the boy's parents to be brought to the royal court. Although the Brahmin couple was initially frightened, the King reassured them, acknowledging that their son was innocent. To compensate for their hardship, the King donated 5 villages to the Brahmin, ensuring they could live the rest of their lives in comfort and prosperity. Thus, all the troubles in the Brahmin's life were resolved.
