Security agencies have scored a major breakthrough in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district, where a terror suspect allegedly linked to Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI has been nabbed. Working in close coordination, the Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS) of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Police carried out a joint operation to arrest the suspect. It is reported that a large quantity of objectionable material was also recovered from the accused during the action.

## Identity of the Suspect Revealed

According to the information available, the suspect detained during the operation in Saharanpur has been identified as a man named Naeem. He is said to have had links with the Pakistani agency ISI. At the time of the arrest, a considerable amount of objectionable material was also seized from the accused.

## Another Accused Held in Bhopal

On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh ATS has said that it has arrested Bhopal resident Mohammad Faraz alias Khalid Saifullah (34) on charges of staying in touch with handlers based in Pakistan. Faraz admitted before the agency that he was connected to these handlers through Telegram and WhatsApp groups. A case has been registered against him under sections of the BNS and the UAPA. According to the ATS, another accused in the case, Naeem Abdullah, a resident of Deoband in UP's Saharanpur district, was on the run. However, as per the latest information, it is believed that this very suspect Naeem has been caught in UP.

## Madhya Pradesh ATS Shares Full Details

The Madhya Pradesh ATS stated: "Information was received from an informant that Bhopal resident Mohammad Faraz was connected to a Pakistani WhatsApp group and that, at the behest of a Pakistani handler, he was preparing for anti-national activities by recruiting other young men. Senior officers ordered the ATS Bhopal team to act swiftly. The team traced Faraz and questioned him. During interrogation, he admitted that he had been in contact with Deoband resident Naeem Abdullah via mobile phone for about 5-6 years. It was Naeem Abdullah who introduced Faraz to the Pakistani handler. Gradually, Faraz became closely associated with that Pakistani handler. The Pakistani handler incited Faraz to join the jihad. He said that he had already groomed several young men, and now Faraz too would have to prepare for it. Faraz had taken an oath before the Pakistani handler that he would carry out whatever task was assigned to him."

The Madhya Pradesh ATS further stated: "During interrogation, Faraz revealed that through Telegram and WhatsApp groups he was connected to several mujahideen from Pakistan, India and other countries. Naeem gave him the name of the Pakistani 'martyr' Khalid Saifullah and inspired him to become and act like him. Since then, he has been using this very name in his jihadi activities. He was told to spread fear among the public and, when the time came, to carry out target killings. All fighters were instructed to get passports made so that, when the time came, they could reach Pakistan through some other country to take training as mujahideen. Faraz too had got his passport made. To motivate them, a video of the training of Indian Mujahideen fighters was also sent to them. They were to implement and prepare for the Mission 2047 agenda of the PFI organisation. After administering an oath, the handler had told them that they did not accept democratic rule, and it was for this that they were preparing fighters. Every fighter should possess weapons, so that when the time came, an order could be given simultaneously to all the fighters across India to uproot Indian rule from its roots and impose Sharia. Jihadi material recovered from accused Mohammad Faraz corroborates his statements. As this incident proved to be anti-national, a case was registered against accused Mohammad Faraz and Naeem Abdullah at STF Police Station Bhopal under crime number 06/26, sections 152 BNS 2023, 13(1)(B), 18 UA(P) Act 1967, and Mohammad Faraz was arrested. The other accused in this case are being searched for."
