The bride was then sent along with the family to their native village. However, shortly after reaching the village, the woman managed to flee along with her associates, Irfan and Sundar.

Acting promptly on the victim's complaint, the local police registered a case and launched a thorough investigation. Police teams tracked down and apprehended the three suspects near a tree close to the dilapidated Khayra Kothi within the Khayra outpost jurisdiction. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sundar, son of Durga, aged around 48, a resident of Agrayala under Shergarh police station; Irfan, son of Iqbal, aged around 28, a resident of Deeg Gate Nai Basti under Govind Nagar police station; and a woman named Kajal alias Rubina.

During the search operation, police recovered specific valuables from the suspects. Sundar was found in possession of Rs 15,500 in cash and a Realme mobile phone, while Irfan carried Rs 22,010 in cash along with another Realme mobile phone. Additionally, the female suspect Kajal alias Rubina was found with Rs 7,500 in cash and a Samsung mobile phone. Circle Officer Mant, Amar Nath Yadav, confirmed that necessary legal proceedings were executed, and all three accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
