Eight districts have recorded rainfall that is 60 percent or more above normal, while seven districts have seen 20 to 59 percent more rainfall. Additionally, 21 districts have remained in the normal category of precipitation.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in several districts including Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Basti, Balrampur, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Azamgarh, and Ambedkar Nagar. Furthermore, an orange alert has been issued for Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, and Kushinagar districts, warning the local population of the potential for heavy downpours.
