As part of this drive, the Industrial police station of the Yamunanagar Zone on Tuesday attached land belonging to former block chief and mafia figure Dilip Mishra, property that had been built up using wealth earned through crime. During the probe led by the investigating officer, Inspector In Charge Naini, it emerged that gang leader Dilip Mishra had built up this immovable property with money earned through crime, by intimidating and threatening people on the strength of his fear and muscle power.\n\nLand Registered in the Names of Relatives\nThe investigation also revealed that instead of keeping the property in his own name, Dilip Mishra had purchased it in the names of his sister-in-law Pushpa Mishra and her daughter-in-law Veera Mishra. On this basis, a report was submitted before the Police Commissioner seeking the attachment of the property under the Gangsters and Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.\n\nThe Police Commissioner Court held a swift hearing and, on the basis of records and evidence, passed the order for attachment. Following this, the Industrial police station team, led by DCP Yamunanagar Zone Vivek Chandra Yadav, reached the spot and completed the action.
