Infrastructure Boom Set to Elevate Meerut's Sports Goods Industry
The landscape of Western Uttar Pradesh, spanning districts like Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Hapur, is undergoing a rapid infrastructural transformation. With high-speed transport links like the Delhi Expressway and the Namo Bharat train already in operation, residents and traders in the region are experiencing unprecedented transit speeds. Adding to this momentum, the operationalization of Jewar Airport is set to open new avenues for local businesses. According to a report by TrendKia, traders will no longer be dependent on Delhi to catch flights, as they can now fly to various states and international destinations directly from Jewar Airport.
Surajkund Sports Association Welcomes the Transit Revolution
Discussing the impact of these developments, Anuj Kumar Singhal, President of the Surajkund Sports Association, emphasized that improved connectivity is already providing substantial relief to the business community. He noted that the launch of Jewar Airport will further empower local entrepreneurs. In statements shared with TrendKia, Singhal highlighted that the airport will benefit not only Meerut's exporters but also out-of-state buyers seeking to source sports goods. Buyers can land at Jewar Airport and transition to the Namo Bharat train, completing what used to be an hours-long journey in mere minutes. Until now, local traders had to travel all the way to Delhi Airport to catch flights for national and international business meetings.
Namo Bharat Laid the Groundwork for Trade Expansion
Echoing these sentiments, sports goods trader Deepak Talwar pointed out that the Namo Bharat train has already catalyzed a wave of trade growth. Young athletes and retail buyers from Delhi, Haryana, and neighboring states are now traveling directly to Meerut's markets in large numbers. With Jewar Airport adding a flight option, clients from distant states can combine air travel with the rapid Namo Bharat transit system to reach Meerut effortlessly.
Other regional traders agreed that robust connectivity is the ultimate driver of modern business expansion. In today's fast-paced world, clients prioritize time-efficiency when choosing where to source goods. With the expressway reducing the travel time to Delhi to under 60 minutes, the addition of Jewar Airport is a major milestone that promises to seamlessly connect Meerut's manufacturing hub with global markets.
