Modi Government's Big Move: 207 New Hospitals Added to CGHS Panel in Delhi-NCR, Relief for Employees and Pensioners

The central government has added 207 hospitals to the CGHS panel across Delhi and NCR, including 190 multi-specialty and 17 super-specialty hospitals. The move will give central employees, pensioners and their families better treatment options closer to home.

Central Government Health Scheme: The Modi government at the Centre has taken a significant step toward ensuring better healthcare for its employees, pensioners and their family members. Under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), a total of 207 hospitals across Delhi and the surrounding NCR region have been added to the panel. Of these, 190 are multi-specialty hospitals and 17 are super-specialty hospitals.

More Hospitals Mean Better Healthcare Access

Following this decision, central government employees and pensioners will now have far more hospital options to choose from for their treatment. Beneficiaries will be able to seek care at a greater number of hospitals near their homes than before, sparing them the need to travel long distances for treatment. In addition, accessing medical services will become considerably easier for both employees and pensioners.

207 Hospitals Added to the New List

The Central Secretariat Service Forum shared the information on the social media platform X. The forum stated that the move would further improve the availability, choice and quality of the health scheme for central government employees, pensioners and their families. Along with this, the forum also released the full list of the 207 hospitals newly added to the panel.

Big Benefit From Super-Specialty Hospitals Joining

According to the available information, a large number of central government employees and retired officials live in the Delhi and NCR region. Given this, the increase in the number of hospitals will help patients receive better medical care in time. The addition of super-specialty hospitals to the panel, in particular, will now make the treatment of serious and complex illnesses possible as well.

A Step Toward Improving Health Services

Notably, this initiative by the Modi government comes at a time when there is continuous discussion about improving the quality of and access to health services. With the new hospitals joining the panel, CGHS beneficiaries are expected to receive more comprehensive and convenient healthcare, directly benefiting millions of families. The panel now includes Yashoda Medicity, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad; Medanta The Medicity, Sector-38, Gurgaon; Amrita Hospital, Mata Amritanandamayi Marg, Sector 88, Faridabad; Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre, 1, Tughlakabad Institutional Area, Mehrauli; Fortis Hospitals Limited, B-22, Sector-62, Noida; and Medanta Hospital, Sector 50, Noida, among a total of 207 hospitals.
