Skoda has been visibly struggling in the Indian market for quite some time. Even so, a handful of the company's models are what currently keep it afloat here. The same picture emerged in last month's sales figures. Skoda gained a total of 5,760 new customers in May 2026. That number reflects a 15 percent year-on-year decline compared with the 6,740 units it sold in May 2025.
Looking closely at the sales report, the Skoda Kylaq turned out to be the company's best-selling car. Alongside it, the Skoda Kushaq recorded an explosive 100 percent jump in sales. On the other hand, demand for the Slavia and the Kodiaq dropped. Let us take a model-wise look at the company's sales report.
As mentioned, the Kylaq sits at the top spot when it comes to sales. Last month, a total of 3,443 units of it were sold. That figure marks a fairly notable 30 percent year-on-year decline compared with the 4,949 units sold in May 2025.
Its ex-showroom price starts at ₹7.59 lakh and goes up to ₹12.99 lakh. It comes loaded with an attractive modern design, a premium interior, a 10-inch touchscreen, a sunroof and ventilated seats. It offers 6 airbags along with a 5-star safety rating. Its 1.0 litre TSI petrol engine produces 114 bhp, delivering a mileage of 19.68 kmpl in the manual and 19.05 kmpl in the automatic.
In second place by sales is the Skoda Kushaq. Last month it found a total of 1,310 new buyers. That number reflects a remarkable 103 percent year-on-year rise compared with the 644 units sold in May 2025.
Third on the sales list is the Skoda Slavia. A total of 861 units of it were sold in May 2026. That figure shows an 8 percent year-on-year decline compared with the 937 units sold in May 2025.
Fourth and last on the list is the Skoda Kodiaq. Last month, only 146 people bought this SUV. That number reflects a 30 percent year-on-year drop compared with the 208 units sold in May 2025. Apart from this, the Skoda Superb and the Skoda Octavia did not find a single customer.
