There is welcome news for persons with disabilities living in Bhilwara city and across the district. The application process for the CM Divyang Scooty Yojana-2026 has now officially begun. The aim of the scheme is straightforward, to make persons with disabilities more self-reliant and to ease their day to day movement, so that a physical challenge never blocks their path to education, employment or essential errands.
What the scheme offers and who benefits
The scheme is being run under the 2026-27 budget year. Under it, eligible persons with disabilities will be provided a scooty. The thinking is simple, once beneficiaries have their own ride, they can travel far more conveniently for education, employment and daily tasks. It is often seen that many persons with disabilities struggle with transport while trying to reach their studies, jobs, training or other necessary work. A scooty in such cases brings real relief and lets them handle their everyday routine without depending on anyone.
Last date and how to apply
According to the Deputy Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, interested and eligible persons with disabilities can apply until 31 July 2026. One point worth noting is that applications will be accepted only through the online mode, there is no offline option. To fill the form, an applicant must log in to the Rajasthan government's SSO portal and submit the application through the "SJMS DSAP" icon.
Documents and the rule on fixing shortcomings
The department has specially appealed to applicants to upload every required document correctly and in full while filling the form. If any shortcoming or objection is recorded during the scrutiny of an application, separate time has been provided to set it right. Such a shortcoming must be cleared within the fixed 15 days after the last date. If the gap is not corrected within this prescribed time, the application can even be cancelled. The department therefore advises reading the departmental guidelines carefully before applying, so that no error is left and all eligibility conditions are met.
Thousands of beneficiaries expected
Further details about the scheme can be obtained from the SSO portal as well as from the office of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. The state government expects this initiative to benefit thousands of persons with disabilities in the district and across the state. The department has urged eligible people to apply in good time, so that they can take advantage of this important scheme and make their lives more convenient.
