After a long wait, the trailer of Alia Bhatt's film 'Alpha' has finally arrived, and it has set the mood on fire from the very first frame. Packed with action, speed and tension across its 2 minutes and 33 seconds, the trailer puts Alia and Sharvari front and centre in fierce form, while Bobby Deol steps in as a villain menacing enough to send a shiver down your spine.
How It Begins: A Little Girl Named 'Sita'
The trailer opens on a small girl sitting alone inside a room walled with glass. Bobby Deol's character, named Fateh, gives this child the name 'Sita' and begins training her to become a deadly assassin. In a voiceover, Alia describes Fateh as a 'rakshas', the demon who once abducted a princess.
This is where the film takes its clever turn. Unlike the Sita of the Ramayana, this Sita does not sit and wait for a Ram to come. She rises on her own and sets out to reduce Fateh's 'Lanka' to ashes. Alia's line sharpens the edge of the whole trailer, 'सीता आज लंका खुद जलाने आई है' (Sita has come to burn Lanka herself today).
Bobby Deol's Rebel With A Grudge
Fateh is no ordinary antagonist. He is a rebellious former spy nursing a burning desire to take revenge on his own country. His attitude is laid bare in his line, 'इंडिया ने अल्फा की कदर नहीं की, अब इंडिया अल्फा से डरेगा' (India never valued Alpha, now India will fear Alpha). On the other side, Anil Kapoor appears guiding both the agents.
The Biggest Surprise Is Saved For Last
The trailer holds back its biggest card for the very end. Hrithik Roshan turns up in a cameo as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, his character from 'War' and 'War 2'. Tellingly, the trailer reveals only his eyes, yet that single glimpse was enough to thrill fans. He is seen lending a hand to Alia and Sharvari's mission, and it is this moment that pushes audience anticipation through the roof.
An Answer To The Questions About Sharvari
It is worth recalling that when the film's teaser dropped, Sharvari's limited presence drew plenty of questions on social media, with many fans voicing their displeasure. The trailer, however, puts that complaint to rest entirely, giving Sharvari generous screen space throughout.
Release Date And The Team Behind The Story
'Alpha' will arrive in cinemas around the world on 3 July 2026. The story has been written by Uday Chopra, while the screenplay has been penned by Sumil Shukla and Sridhar Raghavan.
