Gang busted in Indore
A shocking crime report has emerged from Indore, where police successfully dismantled a gang involved in serial thefts. The group operated by scouting for isolated or locked homes, breaking into them at night to steal LPG cylinders before fleeing the scene. The investigation began after a theft incident in the Tejaji Nagar police station area, where authorities utilized CCTV footage and human intelligence to identify the suspects and execute the arrests of four individuals.
Recovery and police action
During interrogation, the suspects admitted to committing multiple thefts across various police station jurisdictions in the city. DCP Narendra Rawat confirmed that the investigation was triggered by a complaint from a resident named Kamlesh, whose home was broken into. Following the complaint, a specialized team was formed to track the suspects. The police have successfully recovered 34 LPG cylinders, 6 vehicle batteries, and seized two motorcycles used in the commission of these crimes. The total value of the seized stolen goods is estimated at 4.25 lakh.
Previous connection to gas agencies
The investigation revealed that two of the arrested individuals, named Rahul and Saurav, were previously employed at a gas agency, providing them with specific knowledge about these commodities. It was also noted that the gang leader has a prior history of involvement in housebreaking cases. Police are currently continuing their probe to uncover any further criminal activities linked to this group.
