If your household receives money under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the next few days matter. The government has begun its annual verification of beneficiaries, and completing e-KYC has been made compulsory as part of it. Farmers who fail to finish this on time risk having their next installment held up — and could be dropped from the scheme's benefits altogether.
Why e-KYC Matters
Every year, beneficiaries must be re-verified so that the payout keeps reaching the right people, and e-KYC is the core of that check. The instruction to farmers is plain: anyone drawing the scheme's benefit should get this done as soon as possible. Miss it, and the next Samman Nidhi installment will not be transferred to your bank account.
Mark the Date
The window to complete e-KYC is open from June 1 to June 30. The department has already activated its website for the purpose, where beneficiaries can finish the process. June 30 is the final date — if the e-KYC is not done by then, the next installment will be stuck.
How Many Farmers Are Covered in Mirzapur
In Mirzapur district alone, the scheme has 3 lakh 36 thousand 456 beneficiaries who are receiving the Samman Nidhi amount in their accounts. The annual verification drive has now begun for all of them.
Where and How to Get It Done
Deputy Director (Agriculture) Vikesh Singh Patel said farmers are being repeatedly urged to wrap this up in time. Those benefiting from the scheme can visit their nearest urban Jan Seva Kendra to complete the KYC, and the process is finished using the Aadhaar card. He reiterated that without e-KYC, the next installment will not land in the account.
Want Fertiliser and Seed? Do the Farmer Registry Too
Patel also appealed to farmers who need fertiliser and seed to make sure they complete the Farmer Registry. According to him, those who skip the Farmer Registry will not be given fertiliser and seed. For both the Farmer Registry and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries, the deadline remains June 30.
