Former Indian Cricketer KS Bharat Relocates to Dubai for New Innings Post-Retirement

Two weeks after declaring his retirement from international and domestic cricket, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat has moved to Dubai to seek new career prospects in the UAE cricket ecosystem.

A New Beginning in Dubai

Just a fortnight after announcing his retirement from cricket in India, wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat has chosen a new destination to rebuild his career. According to TrendKia, the 32-year-old athlete has moved to Dubai and is actively looking to explore various opportunities in the cricketing environment of the United Arab Emirates.

Participating in ECB Local Tournament

As an initial step in this journey, KS Bharat has been drafted into a local tournament squad managed by the ECB. The tournament commenced on Friday at the ICC Academy Oval-1 in Dubai. KS Bharat is representing Team Stallions, which is one of the four competing sides in the seven-match, two-day white-ball event.

The ECB has structured this competition specifically to cultivate the mental fortitude and skillsets required for the longer version of the game. Apart from Team Stallions, the event features Team Falcons, Team Leopards, and Team Eagles.

Eyeing the ILT20 League

Although KS Bharat did not immediately respond to questions from TrendKia, it is understood that he could be aiming for a spot in the UAE's franchise-based league, ILT20. The tournament is scheduled to take place during November and December. With the players' auction projected for October, he has ample time to complete his registration.

An official from Emirates Cricket shared with TrendKia, "He has arrived in Dubai just like many other international players from various nations, and is looking at both immediate and long-term avenues here."

KS Bharat's Cricketing Background

The 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has represented India in 7 Test matches. His sudden announcement to retire from all forms of international and domestic cricket in India earlier this month surprised many. This decision mirrors a similar step taken by Vijay Shankar, who recently chose to play in the Lanka Premier League.
