Younger uncle Rajeev Suryavanshi expressed deep gratitude towards the Indian cricket board. He said the whole family is heartily thankful for the faith the board has shown in giving his nephew a place in the team. According to him, the selectors recognised the talent hidden within Vaibhav at the right moment and gave him a fair opportunity to grow. That, he said, is why the team management took his game seriously and decided to include him in Team India. Today, not just Samastipur but all of Bihar is brimming with pride over this achievement.
