Right now, it is not just Indian cricket but world cricket as a whole that is buzzing with talk of one name — the 15-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi. After his explosive showing with the bat in the IPL 2026 season, Vaibhav has now earned a place in Team India as well. Amid all this, on June 13, Vaibhav's younger brother Ashirwad Suryavanshi, who is just 10 years old, grabbed the headlines by playing a superb century knock of 103 runs off 87 balls in a local practice match in Samastipur, turning out for Cricket Academy Tajpur. During this innings, he managed to strike 20 fours along with one six.
Elder Brother Shared the News on Social Media
The 10-year-old Ashirwad Suryavanshi, unlike his brother Vaibhav, is not a left-handed but a right-handed batter. In the local match, Ashirwad's bat produced a 103-run innings in 87 balls, with his strike rate hovering around 120. Vaibhav's elder brother Ujjwal Suryavanshi shared the news of Ashirwad's brilliant innings by posting a story on his Instagram. Meanwhile, their father Sanjeev Suryavanshi wrote in a post on Facebook that his younger son Ashirwad Suryavanshi had scored his first century in a practice match that day. He requested everyone to keep showering their love and blessings on Ashirwad as well.
Vaibhav Currently on Sri Lanka Tour with India-A
While Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already been included in Team India for the T20 series to be played on the Ireland and England tours, he is currently taking part in the tri-series being played on the Sri Lanka tour with the India-A team. Vaibhav has so far played 2 matches in this tri-series, but in both he was unable to cross the 50-run mark. In the match against Sri Lanka-A, Vaibhav was dismissed after scoring 14 runs, while in the contest against Afghanistan-A his bat produced a 44-run innings off 22 balls. Given this, fans are hopeful of a big innings from Vaibhav in the upcoming matches of the series.
