On the occasion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership being completed, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta interacted with the media at the NDMC Convention Centre. In a post shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister wrote, "PM Modi's leadership has become a foundation of trust for crores of Indians. Policies that have given dignity to the poor, opportunity to the youth, capability to women, support to farmers and fresh hope to the middle class have placed public welfare at the heart of governance. India's rising stature on the global stage has lifted the head of every Indian with pride."
India Has Become a Nation That Guides the World
During the media interaction, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that under PM Modi's leadership the country has set several new benchmarks in development, public welfare and global prestige over the past 12 years. She noted that campaigns such as metro expansion, Digital India, the UDAN scheme, Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat have lent fresh speed to the nation's development journey. According to the Chief Minister, India today is no longer merely a country registering its presence on the global stage, but has emerged as a strong nation that shows direction to the world and offers innovation and solutions.
A Strong Foundation for Development Has Been Built
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, public welfare and social empowerment have gathered fresh pace. She underlined that the benefits of development have been carried to the last person in society through measures such as lifting crores of people out of poverty, free ration, Jan Dhan accounts, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Ujjwala scheme and housing schemes. Rekha Gupta said that schemes empowering women, farmers, youth and small entrepreneurs have laid a solid foundation for inclusive growth in the country.
Delhi Received Unprecedented Support
At the press conference, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that under PM Modi's leadership, Delhi has received unprecedented support in the fields of infrastructure, transport, sanitation and connectivity over the past 12 years. She said that schemes like AMRUT 2.0, the Swachh Bharat Mission, metro expansion, expressway projects and the Namo Bharat Corridor have given new momentum to the capital's development. Praising the support provided by the Central government to Delhi for pollution control, public transport and world-class infrastructure, the Chief Minister said that this has brought a notable improvement in Delhi's global identity and civic amenities.
Lakhs of Citizens Got Direct Benefits of Schemes
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that lakhs of citizens in the capital have received direct benefits from PM Modi's welfare schemes. She explained that initiatives such as Ujjwala, SVANidhi, Ayushman Bharat, PM-UDAY and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana have brought positive change to the lives of the poor, street vendors, youth and people living in unauthorised colonies. She further said that with the Central government's support, the expansion of health facilities and the development of new Arogya Mandirs and modern medical infrastructure is taking place rapidly. According to the Chief Minister, the past 12 years have proven that big development goals can be achieved through clear leadership and a commitment to public welfare.
