The administration in Bihar has gone into full gear ahead of the NEET UG re-examination, and the biggest signal of how serious the security clampdown is comes from the way the question papers were moved. Instead of any routine transport, the papers were carried to the state capital Patna aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft, a step that underlines just how much weight is being placed on secrecy this time.
Flown In, Then Hidden Away
According to the information available, the question papers reached Patna by the Air Force aircraft and were immediately moved, under a tight security cordon, to a secret and secure location. Officials connected with the examination, along with security agencies, are keeping the entire operation under constant watch. The aim is straightforward, to leave no room for tampering or a leak at any stage.
Why the 3 June Exam Is Being Held Again
This elaborate arrangement became necessary because the examination conducted on 3 June was cancelled. Following that, the National Testing Agency, or NTA, decided to hold a re-test on 21 June for the affected candidates. The agency and the administration want this round to be completely fair and transparent, which is exactly why the special security measures have been put in place.
Layers Upon Layers of Security
Officials say a multi-layered security system has been enforced to keep the confidentiality of the papers airtight. Beyond that, the task of moving the papers from the secret location to the examination centres will also be carried out strictly under a pre-decided protocol, so that no slip occurs anywhere along the route.
All Eyes on 21 June
The attention of the candidates appearing for the re-exam, and of their parents, is now fixed squarely on 21 June. The administration claims every necessary step has been taken to make the process fully secure and transparent this time, so that no candidate is left fearing a repeat of the earlier experience.
