Following the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 exam last month, the NTA is fully prepared to conduct the re-examination. The test is scheduled for June 21, 2026. According to TrendKia, the NTA has implemented multi-layered security measures to ensure a smooth, secure, and transparent testing process. A comprehensive mock drill will be conducted across all test centers tomorrow, June 20. Students requiring assistance can reach out via the helpline numbers 011-40759000 and 011-69227700 or send an email to neetug2026@nta.ac.in.
Enhanced Security and Surveillance Protocols
To prevent irregularities and ensure exam integrity, the NTA has enforced the following measures:
- 674 city coordinators have been appointed, along with 6,669 independent observers to monitor the centers.
- Each center will have dedicated center superintendents and invigilators on duty.
- Local administration and police forces will provide escort teams to ensure the safe transit of sensitive materials.
- Confidential exam materials will be transported using GPS-enabled vehicles under police escort.
- All test centers will be under CCTV surveillance, connected directly to a centralized control room.
- Students will undergo mandatory screening using high-sensitivity metal detectors before entry.
- Aadhaar-based biometric authentication will be utilized to prevent impersonation.
- Real-time monitoring of the entire process will be facilitated through a centralized control system.
Advisory and Official WhatsApp Updates
The NTA has issued a safety advisory warning students against potential cyber threats and fraudulent communications. The agency emphasized that it will never solicit payments, leak question papers, or distribute admit cards via suspicious links. For official communication, the NTA will now send exam updates and center details directly via WhatsApp. Candidates are advised to verify that messages originate from a 'National Testing Agency' account displaying a blue verified tick. Any message received from an unverified source should be treated as fraudulent, even if it uses the NTA name.
