Car Plunges Into Gorge in Manikaran Valley
A horrific road accident has come to light in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. A car went out of control and met with the accident in the Sarsadi area of the district's Manikaran valley. In this crash, 3 of the 5 people travelling in the vehicle lost their lives, while 2 others were injured. An 8-year-old girl is among those caught in the mishap. After the incident, an extremely heart-wrenching video of the rescue operation has surfaced. The car tumbled down from a considerable height and landed near the banks of the Parvati river below, leaving the occupants badly trapped inside.
All Occupants Believed to Be From One Family
According to information, a total of five tourists were travelling in the car. The people seated in the vehicle, which bore a Jalandhar registration number from Punjab, appear to be members of a single family. Soon after the accident, local residents stepped in and pulled the injured out. One of the injured succumbed on the way to treatment, while 2 injured persons are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhuntar. It is being said that these people, residents of Kapurthala in Punjab, had first come to visit Manali and were then heading towards Manikaran.
Video Captures the Struggle to Rescue Victims
In the video that has emerged, a few people can be seen running quickly towards the spot of the accident. Several people were seen trapped inside the car, two of whom were still breathing, and a child was swiftly pulled out to safety by the bystanders. Rescuing the others, however, proved to be a tough task, as the car had been badly crushed and its window would not open. Eventually, people somehow broke open the severely damaged vehicle to save their lives.
