Gwalior Horror: Speeding Car Overtaking Truck Mows Down Scooty, Two Children Killed, Three Critical

In the Bijouli police station area of Gwalior, a speeding Ertiga overtaking a truck rammed an e-scooty carrying a family, killing two children aged 5 and 6 and leaving three people critically injured.

A horrifying hit-and-run accident in the Bijouli police station area of Gwalior district has been captured on a CCTV camera. The footage clearly shows how the driver of a speeding Ertiga, while recklessly overtaking a truck, slammed into four people riding an e-scooty. The impact was so violent that the scooty riders can be seen being flung into the air.

Family Was Returning Home After a Meal

According to information, a family living in Ganeshpura in the city was returning home on a scooty after having a meal at a hotel. It was then that a speeding car coming from behind on the highway crashed into the scooty. The collision was so severe that all five people riding the scooty were thrown into the air and fell onto the road. In this tragic accident, one young child died on the spot, while a second child succumbed during treatment. Three other people are critically injured and are undergoing treatment at a hospital. After the incident, police cordoned off the area and arrested the driver of the UP-registered Ertiga.

Family Lost Two Innocent Lives

In this devastating crash, scooty riders Ravi Raje, Narendra Singh, Ajay Singh and two children, Nishant Raje and Garvit Raje, were badly injured. All of them were rushed to the hospital, but during treatment 5-year-old Nishant Raje and 6-year-old Garvit Raje died. Both children were residents of Ganeshpura. Meanwhile, the treatment of Ravi Raje, Narendra Singh and Ajay Singh is still ongoing, and doctors have described the condition of all three as critical. The accident took place on the night of June 6 in the Badagaon area under the Bijouli police station limits. After the accident, wails of grief filled the family. The Bijouli police have registered a case against the car driver. Enraged by the incident, family members blocked the highway. On the other hand, taking the matter seriously, the SDM has sent a report to the state government to arrange financial assistance for the bereaved family. The accident has spread fear among people across the area.
