Administrative activity is set to stay busy across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today. In Bhopal the government is gearing up for big policy decisions, while in Raipur the chief minister himself will be taking stock of department work. Alongside this, Narsinghpur district has thrown up news of a major reshuffle in the revenue staff and a tough line on pending complaints. Here is a look at the major developments from Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur through to Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg.
Sai to Personally Take Stock in Raipur
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai is set to review the working of various departments in Raipur today. As per the schedule, he will be present at the secretariat from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm. During this time he will hold meetings with officials of different departments and assess the progress of government schemes and ongoing works.
Several Big Proposals Before the Mohan Cabinet
In Madhya Pradesh, the Mohan Cabinet is scheduled to meet today, with decisions expected on several important proposals. The meeting will take place at the secretariat from 12 noon. According to sources, the cabinet may approve the Health Infrastructure Incentive Policy 2026. A key decision could also be taken on extending the transfer period. The issue of fertiliser supply is likely to figure in the discussions as well.
A Major Surgery in Narsinghpur's Revenue Staff
The revenue department in Narsinghpur district has carried out a sweeping administrative shake-up all at once. A total of 55 patwaris have been transferred here. On the collector's directions, this big reshuffle has taken place across the Gotegaon, Gadarwara, Kareli, Tendukheda and Narsinghpur tehsils. Patwaris who had been parked in the same circle for a long time have now been moved elsewhere.
The district administration says the step has been taken to bring transparency and discipline to the revenue system. Officials claim it will speed up the disposal of cases such as mutation, partition and demarcation. The transferred patwaris have been directed to take charge at their new postings within three days. They have also been warned of strict action if the order is ignored.
Collector's Clear Message on the CM Helpline
The administration's stance on pending CM helpline complaints in Narsinghpur has now turned distinctly tough. At a time-limit review meeting held in the collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Collector Rajni Singh, officials were told in no uncertain terms to resolve every CM helpline case as the highest priority. It was also stressed that complaints must be closed at level-1 and level-2 itself.
In a warning tone, the collector told officials that no department's grading should fall to D and that complaints must be monitored regularly. The meeting also resolved that applications received from public welfare camps be disposed of quickly, that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefit of schemes, and that workers be registered under the Sambal scheme and given assistance money on time.
