Rahul Gandhi's Message to Youth and Gen Z
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has shared a post on the social media platform X aimed directly at the country's youth and the Gen Z generation. In it, he put the Modi government on the spot over questions of education and employment, stating plainly that securing the future of every young person is a basic responsibility of the government.
He opened the post by reassuring young people, writing:
My young and Gen Z friends, one thing is clear in my mind and you too should hold it close to your heart: securing the future of every youth in India is the responsibility of the government. But both responsibility and honesty are beyond the thinking of the Modi government.
The Issues He Raised
Rahul Gandhi listed, one by one, the problems that students and exam aspirants are wrestling with today. He pointed to paper leaks, the mismanagement of examinations and repeatedly cancelled recruitment drives, and also gestured towards soaring difficulties. His message carried on by foregrounding these very challenges. The thrust of his argument was that the future of the youth is not built through speeches and promises, but through intent and concrete work.
The Students' Voice in Kota
According to information circulating on social media, the post is being linked to a planned gathering of students. A programme titled 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' is being prepared for 17 June in Kota, with the time and venue given as 5:30 PM at Dussehra Ground, Kota. The campaign is being carried forward under #ChhatronKiGoonj, calling on young people to raise their voice on issues such as paper leaks, unemployment and privatisation.
Public Reaction
A large number of people responded to Rahul Gandhi's post. Many users backed him for raising youth issues and asked when the Prime Minister would meet students, while some pushed back by pointing to exam irregularities under previous governments. On the whole, the post drew both strong support and pointed questions.
