A Sharp Post on X Sparks Political Debate
Yogi Adityanath used social media platform X to deliver a pointed political attack on Akhilesh Yadav and the Samajwadi Party. The post centred on an incident involving a religious visit to Ayodhya and raised pointed questions about where the party's true allegiances lie.
The Proposal That Manoj Kumar Pandey Put Forward
According to Yogi Adityanath's post, Manoj Kumar Pandey, in his capacity as a Samajwadi Party MLA, had put forward the suggestion that all legislators should visit Ayodhya to seek darshan of Ram. The proposal was made in the spirit of religious sentiment and appeared to be an invitation for lawmakers across party lines to undertake the pilgrimage together.
Akhilesh Yadav Stepped In and Blocked It
The proposal, however, never materialised. Yogi Adityanath stated clearly in his post that the moment Manoj Kumar Pandey made this suggestion, Akhilesh Yadav immediately intervened and put a stop to it. No MLAs were permitted to proceed with the Ayodhya visit.
The Allegation at the Core of the Post
Yogi Adityanath did not leave the matter without an explanation. He wrote that the reason Akhilesh Yadav blocked the visit was that the party's devotion is simply not directed at Ram. In his words, these are people who follow Babur, not Ram. This was the sharpest claim in the post and the one that drew the widest reaction from users across the platform.
Public Reaction
The post generated a broad wave of responses online, with a section of users expressing support for the views Yogi Adityanath put forward, while others took the opportunity to raise separate questions about governance, employment and administrative matters they wanted the government to address.
