Tej Pratap Yadav Claims Threat to His Life, Approaches Police
The political environment in Bihar has heated up further as former state minister and Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav filed a formal complaint at Patna's Secretariat Police Station. In his official complaint, Tej Pratap Yadav has accused Akash Yadav, the former head of the RJD student wing and brother of Anushka Yadav, along with seven other individuals, of masterminding a conspiracy to assassinate him.
Speaking to reporters after submitting his complaint, Tej Pratap Yadav stated that deliberate attempts have been ongoing to damage his public reputation. He vehemently denied all accusations against him, describing them as entirely baseless. Tej Pratap Yadav also highlighted that these conspiracies are being hatched against him at a time when his father, Lalu Yadav, is suffering from ill health.
The Preceding Legal Action Against Tej Pratap Yadav
This move by the JJD leader comes in the wake of a court-mandated FIR registered against him at Patna's Patliputra Police Station. The previous case was initiated by Akash Yadav, who is the former state president of the student wing of RJD and brother of Anushka Yadav. Law enforcement agencies have already initiated a thorough probe into the allegations raised in that FIR.
Providing details on the case, Patna's Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Law and Order, Divyanjali Jaiswal, confirmed that the complainant had reported receiving death threats and had submitted an audio recording as corroborative evidence. According to Divyanjali Jaiswal, these threatening calls were traced to a U.S. based phone number, and police are currently analyzing all facets of the technical data provided.
Context of Akash Yadav's Allegations Against the Former Minister
According to the details of the FIR filed against Tej Pratap Yadav, the alleged incident took place on June 6. The complaint states that Tej Pratap Yadav and his associate, Motilal Yadav, allegedly traveled to Akash Yadav's residence in the Patliputra locality. During this time, Akash Yadav was away on a pilgrimage to Khatu Shyam.
The family alleged that the visitors tried to trespass into the house and directly intimidated the family members who were present. Akash Yadav further stated that following this confrontation, he received phone calls from Motilal Yadav and another individual. The callers, who claimed to represent a criminal syndicate, reportedly warned Akash Yadav against making any public remarks or disclosures against the former minister.
