Amidst his 56th birthday celebrations, information regarding Rahul Gandhi's assets also garnered attention. According to the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI) prior to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, his total declared assets exceeded 20 crore rupees as of March 3, 2024. Rahul Gandhi, who is an MP from Raebareli, reported a total annual income of 1.02 crore rupees for the financial year 2022-23. The affidavit also indicated that he holds savings accounts with State Bank of India (SBI) and HDFC Bank, containing a combined total of 26.25 lakh rupees. Specifically, 2.22 lakh rupees were in his SBI account, and 24.03 lakh rupees in his HDFC account. Rahul Gandhi declared carrying only 55 thousand rupees in cash, with a substantial portion of his wealth invested in mutual funds, bonds, and other investment instruments.
