Jaipur Blast Probe Widens: Salman Qureshi Nabbed in Mumbai, 27 Bikes Seized and Notices Slapped on 20 Warehouses

The investigation into the illegal-factory blast in Jaipur's Kho Nagorian area has gathered pace, with police arresting Salman Qureshi — an associate of the prime accused — from Mumbai while a sweeping search continues in the locality.

Police probing the explosion at an illegal factory in Jaipur's Kho Nagorian area have made a significant breakthrough. Salman Qureshi, a close associate of the case's main accused, Kayyum and Ayyub, has been picked up from Mumbai. Investigators believe Qureshi could hold several crucial clues that help piece together exactly how the blast unfolded. Those arrested are being questioned continuously, and their statements are now steering the next stages of the inquiry.

A Sweeping Search Across the Locality

To track down everyone linked to the blast and to expose units running under the radar, police have launched an intensive search operation across the area. The special drive is being led by Prakash Ram Vishnoi, the SHO of Kho Nagorian police station. More than 80 personnel have reportedly been deployed for the exercise, fanning out to thoroughly search over 200 houses in the neighbourhood.

Two More Illegal Factories Under the Scanner

During the probe, police flagged two additional illegal factories where work was being carried out in open violation of the rules. They are now examining whether the activities at these units had any direct connection to the explosion. Officials have made it clear that strict action will follow against such factories that flout safety norms and operate without any permission.

27 Bikes Found in Suspicious Circumstances Seized

In the course of the search, police impounded 27 motorcycles that were lying abandoned or parked in suspicious circumstances around the area. The documents for these vehicles are being verified to establish who actually owns them. Investigators are also checking whether any of these bikes were being used to carry out illegal activities.

Door-to-Door Survey and Notices to 20 Warehouses

In the wake of the blast, police also conducted a door-to-door survey that identified around 20 warehouses. After scrutinising their paperwork and compliance with the rules, notices have been served on all of them. The owners have been asked to furnish their operating permissions, details of their safety arrangements and the stock held on the premises. Police and the administration are jointly carrying out this exercise.

Neighbourhood Meetings to Build Public Trust

Police have not confined themselves to arrests and raids alone. To maintain law and order and strengthen public cooperation, they are also holding mohalla (neighbourhood) meetings. At these gatherings, local residents, traders and elected representatives are being briefed on safety matters. People are being urged to immediately report any suspicious activity, illegal factory or warehouse to the police.

Bigger Revelations Expected Ahead

The investigation into the factory blast is still underway, and several major disclosures are expected in the coming days. The drive against warehouses operating without permission and those ignoring safety standards is far from over. Police say their effort is not just to uncover the truth behind the blast, but also to take firm steps so that such an incident is never repeated.
