Ever since the consecration of Ram Lala in Ayodhya, the temple has drawn an unbroken stream of devotees — and it is in the middle of this surge that a rumour surfaced and forced the temple trust into immediate action. The claim doing the rounds was that money offered in the donation boxes inside the temple complex was being stolen. As the allegation spread rapidly across social media and a few other channels, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust responded with one of the toughest steps it has taken so far.
Crores of devotees from across India and abroad arrive at Ram Lala's court every day, generously offering not just cash but also gold and silver ornaments in the donation boxes according to their faith. Against this backdrop, talk of theft caused unease among the faithful — but the trust has rejected the reports as completely false and concocted right from the outset.
The Trust's Stand and Its Outreach to CM Yogi
The trust, which oversees the temple's security and arrangements, has made it clear that it will not sit quietly and treat these reports as an ordinary rumour. It argues that the trust of crores of Ram devotees and the temple's transparent image are at stake, which makes a thorough investigation essential. With that in mind, senior office-bearers of the trust reached out directly to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The trust has sent the Chief Minister an official letter requesting that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) be constituted to examine every rumour and claim linked to the alleged theft from the donation boxes. According to the trust, a high-level SIT probe would do two things — unmask the faces hidden behind this propaganda, and establish before the public that every single paisa offered at the temple is deposited into bank accounts with full transparency.
Security So Tight That Theft Is Near-Impossible
The trust says the temple's security is impenetrable. The donation boxes and the entire area around them remain under strict CCTV surveillance round the clock. Beyond that, the offerings are counted inside a secure 'counting room' in the presence of bank officials and trust members, with the whole process recorded on video. With such multi-layered safeguards in place, stealing money is virtually impossible both technically and in practical terms.
Is a Planned Conspiracy Behind It?
The trust views the episode as far more serious than a stray rumour. It believes this could be a deliberate, deep digital conspiracy engineered by mischievous elements or negative forces to tarnish the reputation of Ram Nagari and the Ram temple. That is why the trust has not merely asked CM Yogi to investigate the theft claims; it has also urged that the 'toolkit' or gang that first floated and fuelled the rumour on social media be traced and dealt with under the strictest possible legal action.
