From a Home-Run Venture to a Fashion Empire: How Shivpuri's Sanskriti Jain Created Jobs for Many Women

Sanskriti Jain, a young entrepreneur from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, built a thriving fashion-designing business with her skill and the help of the PMEGP scheme, providing employment and training to dozens of women.

It is often said that when one's resolve is firm and there is a burning passion to achieve something different, every obstacle along the way begins to shrink on its own. Sanskriti Jain, a young entrepreneur and fashion designer from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, proves this to be true. Drawing on her craft, tireless hard work and the support of a government scheme, she has not only built a successful business in the field of fashion designing but has also become a source of livelihood and self-reliance for many women today.

Carving a Path to Success Amid Challenges

Sanskriti Jain says that her journey of nearly five years in the field of textiles and fashion designing has been full of struggles and challenges. In the early days, she had to grapple with many difficulties. Her way of working and her thinking in the fashion industry were quite different from others, which is why it took time for her to establish her own identity. Even so, she never lost heart and, through continuous effort, turned her dreams into reality.

The PMEGP Scheme Gave the Business New Momentum

Sanskriti's hard work found a new sky when she obtained a loan under the central government's Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) scheme. This financial assistance played a crucial role in expanding her business. With the financial support received through the scheme, she acquired modern machines and resources and set up her fashion and manufacturing unit in Shivpuri.

Providing Training and Employment to Women

Sanskriti Jain's enterprise is no longer confined to being just a business; it has become a strong example of women's empowerment as well. Dozens of women have found employment at her institution. Along with this, she is also providing training in fashion designing and modern techniques to youth and local artisans.

Sanskriti explains that she is shaping new artisans and teaching them how to operate advanced machines and modern equipment, so that they can do better work in line with market demand and create new employment opportunities for themselves.

Building a Distinct Identity Through New Experiments

In the world of fashion and textiles, Sanskriti is constantly innovating. She pays special attention to creating new designs, modern textures and better-quality products. It is because of her efforts that Shivpuri is gaining a new identity in the field of fashion and manufacturing. Sanskriti Jain believes that her journey has only just begun. In the future, she wants to expand her business further and aims to train as many young people and women as possible to make them self-reliant. Her success proves that with the right plan, strong willpower and continuous hard work, big dreams can be realised even from small towns.
