Success Story: Class 6 Pass, Once a ₹35-a-Day Labourer, Now Earns Lakhs a Year From His Tent House

Prakash Tayde of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh began as a ₹35-a-day labourer and has built Prakash Tent House, which now earns him 4 to 5 lakh rupees a year while employing several people.

You may have read and heard many tales of success, but this one from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh is sure to surprise you. A man who once worked for a daily wage of 35 rupees has today become a lakhpati. His journey shows how hard work and dedication together can lift a person from the ground to the heights. This is the story of Prakash Tayde of Daulatpura, who studied only up to Class 6, yet whose skill has won him the admiration of even the most prominent people.

About 25 years ago, Prakash Tayde was working for just ₹35 a day as a labourer. It was during that time that he got the idea of starting a tent house business from his sister. He took a loan of ₹100000 and launched the venture. The early days brought plenty of hardship, but he refused to give up. He once again took a loan from the bank, bought more equipment, and today his Prakash Tent House is running successfully. He now earns 4 to 5 lakh rupees a year and has also given employment to four or five people in his area.

Prakash Tayde said that he first took a loan of ₹100000. The inspiration for the tent house business came from his sister. In the beginning he suffered heavy losses, but he did not lose courage and kept struggling on. Later he took another loan of ₹500,000 to buy more stock and expanded his tent business. His son Akash now helps him in this work as well. He himself provides jobs to four people, and his goal is to give work to as many people in his region as possible.

Prakash Tayde further said that he studied only up to Class 6, after which his mind no longer stayed on his studies. Because the conditions at home were not good, he began working for others, where after a full day of labour he was paid ₹35 a day and even running the household was difficult. Then, acting on the idea his sister gave him, he began this work, and today he earns 4 to 5 lakh rupees a year.
