Heartbreaking news has emerged from the world of television. Sanchita Ugale, the young actress who was part of popular shows such as 'Kumkum Bhagya', is no more. Her passing at just 22 has left both her fellow small-screen artists and viewers in deep grief. According to available information, she allegedly died by suicide on June 14 at her home in the Palghar district of Maharashtra.
Indrakshi Kanjilal Points the Finger at the Co-Actor
Following Sanchita's death, actress Indrakshi Kanjilal has levelled startling allegations. She claims that Ujjwal Sharma, who worked alongside Sanchita on the show 'Sajan Ghar', subjected her to mental harassment. Ujjwal, on his part, had suggested that Sanchita was disturbed over a past relationship, but Indrakshi flatly rejected that explanation.
Expressing her astonishment at Ujjwal's claims, Indrakshi said he was in no position to comment on Sanchita's personal life in this manner, because the two were never that close to begin with.
Allegations of Borrowing Money and Mistreatment
According to TrendKia, Indrakshi said, “Ujjwal had borrowed money from Sanchita and later treated her badly. When Sanchita asked for the money back, Ujjwal humiliated her, threatened her and even threatened to kill her.”
Backing her claims, Indrakshi also said she has proof of the exchanges between the two. In her words, “I have screenshots of their chats in which Ujjwal used wrong language and humiliated Sanchita. Sanchita had complained about the harassment and everything she was going through to the relevant seniors. But she later realised that nothing was going to change, so she decided to leave the show.”
Parents Shattered After Losing Their Daughter
The tragedy has completely devastated Sanchita's parents as well. The family has accused others of tormenting the actress, saying that for some time she had become withdrawn and barely spoke to anyone.
The Real Cause of Death Still Unclear
According to reports, Sanchita was found dead at around 7 pm on June 14 at her home in Nalasopara, and she was alone there at the time. It is still not entirely clear under what circumstances she died. Indrakshi alleges that Sanchita was under heavy stress while shooting for 'Sajan Ghar', the very show in which she appeared as Ujjwal Sharma's on-screen love interest.
ADR Registered Under Section 194
Sanchita's father, Machhindra Ugale, has lodged a complaint following her death. As per reports, police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Officials say every angle is being carefully examined while investigating the causes of her death.
