Chandauli: Class 10 Student Stabbed to Death Inside School, Attacker Also a Minor Student

A 16-year-old student named Lavkush was stabbed to death after reaching school for an extra class in UP's Chandauli. The attacker, also a minor angry over an earlier dispute, was caught by teachers and handed over to police.

A chilling incident has come to light from Chandauli district, where a Class 10 student was stabbed to death inside a school campus. The crime is reported to have taken place on Friday morning, at a time when the student had reached school to attend an extra class. Police have taken the accused into custody, and the investigation revealed that the attacker is also a minor. According to the information available, the two had been at odds over some matter beforehand, and that dispute eventually led to this murder. Immediately after the attack, the teachers present in the school caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police.

Accused Student Caught on the Spot

According to Circle Officer (Sadar) Devendra Kumar, the slain student has been identified as 16-year-old Lavkush, a resident of Pratappur village. Lavkush was studying at a higher secondary school in the same area. Police said that at the time of the incident, around 7 am, Lavkush had arrived to study in an extra class. Police further stated that the accused student who carried out the attack is also around 16 years old and is a resident of Fatehpur village, and that he was already present in the class at that time. During questioning, the accused student told the police that he had attacked Lavkush following a dispute.

Accused Sent to Juvenile Reform Home

The accused student claims that Lavkush had been misbehaving with him for the past two or three days, and he had been upset with him over this very issue. According to the police, the accused launched a rapid knife attack on Lavkush inside the school. The knife blows left Lavkush with deep injuries to his chest and the upper part of his abdomen. After the incident, the injured student was rushed to the district hospital, but doctors there declared him dead. Police said that after he was declared dead, Lavkush's body was sent for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered against the accused student under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officials informed that the accused student has, for now, been sent to a juvenile reform home, and the police are investigating every aspect of the matter.
