Shocking Incident Unfolds in Hathras
A chilling incident in Nagla Bhura village, under the Hathras Gate Kotwali area of Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, left the entire community in shock on Thursday evening. The bodies of 25-year-old Priyanka and 26-year-old Prakash, a resident of the same village, were found in suspicious circumstances inside a house. While police suspect a love affair to be the motive, the deceased woman's husband has vehemently denied this claim.
Husband's Horrific Discovery Upon Returning Home
The tragic event came to light when Priyanka's husband, Vipin, who works for a private company, returned home from work around 5 PM on Thursday evening. He found the main door locked from the inside. Vipin repeatedly called out and knocked on the door for a considerable amount of time, approximately half an hour, but received no response from within. After the prolonged wait, his 2-year-old daughter finally opened the door.
The scene that greeted Vipin inside the house was utterly devastating. His wife, Priyanka, was found dead on a cot in the room, while Prakash, from the same village, was discovered hanging. This horrific sight instantly spread panic and grief throughout the family and the village.
Police and Forensic Team Arrive at the Scene
Following the discovery, a large crowd of villagers gathered at Nagla Bhura. The Hathras Gate Kotwali police swiftly responded and arrived at the location. CO City Himanshu Mathur, along with a forensic team, thoroughly inspected the crime scene, collecting crucial evidence. Both bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination. The crime scene has been sealed pending further investigation.
Suspected Love Affair vs. Husband's Denial
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the incident might be linked to a love affair. Police officials suspect that Prakash had come to Priyanka's house with the intention of taking her away. During this encounter, a dispute reportedly erupted between them, escalating into violence. The police theory is that as the argument intensified, Prakash allegedly strangled Priyanka to death and subsequently hanged himself, committing suicide.
However, Vipin, the deceased woman's husband, has challenged these initial suspicions. He informed the police that his wife had no romantic involvement with anyone. Vipin alleges that Prakash murdered his wife before taking his own life.
Ongoing Investigation
CO City Himanshu Mathur informed TrendKia that upon receiving news of the deaths of two individuals in Nagla Bhura village, the police and forensic team were immediately dispatched to the site. He stated that essential evidence has been gathered from the crime scene and both bodies are undergoing post-mortem examinations. Further action will be determined based on the post-mortem reports and other collected evidence. Currently, the police are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case to ascertain the complete truth.
