A shocking case has emerged from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a Hindu widow has accused a father of five children of trapping her in a false love affair, coercing her into religious conversion, and forcing her to offer namaz and consume meat. The victim also alleges that the accused sold her flat in Noida, leaving her on the streets.
Allegations of Deception and Forced Conversion
On Thursday, the woman, a resident of Noida, approached the SSP office in Muzaffarnagar with workers from the Hindu Sangharsh Samiti to submit a complaint. She stated that she met Ashfaq, a resident of Morna village under the Bhopa Police Station area, at a political event in 2016. At that time, Ashfaq allegedly introduced himself as Raju alias Rajiv Baliyan. The woman claims she was a widow in need of support for her children, and Ashfaq exploited this vulnerability by ensnaring her in his deceitful love trap.
Victim's Account: A Decade of Deceit
The victim, Rajbala, has stated that Ashfaq, who entered her life as Rajiv Baliyan, first tricked her by giving her something to eat, then trapped her in a false relationship, and eventually performed a 'nikaha' with her. Rajbala revealed that her husband had passed away. She later discovered that Ashfaq was already married, had five children, and was Muslim. During this prolonged deception, Rajbala alleges that Ashfaq compelled her to offer namaz and eat meat.
Financial Ruin and Broader Concerns
Rajbala further claims that during their relationship, Ashfaq facilitated the sale of her flat in Noida, rendering her homeless. She also expressed concern that many other Hindu women might still be caught in Ashfaq's manipulative web. According to Rajbala, Ashfaq is exploiting their earnings to support his own household, similar to how he completely defrauded her and left her with nothing. She emphasized that he is taking advantage of numerous other women.
Police Action Initiated
Following the woman's complaint, the police promptly registered a case under serious sections against Ashfaq alias Raju alias Rajiv Baliyan. The FIR also names his two daughters and two sons. Efforts to apprehend them have commenced. CO Bhopa Laxman Verma confirmed that a complaint was received from a Greater Noida resident regarding deception in the name of marriage and religious conversion, and legal action is being taken after registering a case under relevant sections.
