Khan Sir Coaching Clash: Gyan Bindu Chief Roushan Anand Walks Free on Bail After 12 Days as Brother Dies in Nepal

Roushan Anand, the operator of Gyan Bindu coaching who was arrested over the firing at Khan Global Studies, has been granted bail by the court — even as his brother Prince Yadav, also named in the same case, died under suspicious circumstances in Nepal.

The bitter feud between two well-known coaching institutes in Patna has taken a fresh turn. Roushan Anand, the operator of Gyan Bindu coaching who had been lodged in Patna's Beur Jail in connection with a firing incident, has finally secured bail from the court. He was taken into custody by Kadamkuan police on 3 June over the firing at Khan Global Studies Academy, and now — after a full 12 days behind bars — he is set to step out of jail.

The relief, however, comes alongside deep grief for his family. Roushan Anand's brother Prince died under suspicious circumstances in Nepal on Sunday, and his last rites are scheduled for today. Notably, Khan Sir, who runs Khan Global Studies, had already been granted anticipatory bail in the same firing case.

How the Whole Dispute Began

The roots of the entire episode go back to the night of 2 June, when people linked to Khan Global Studies and Gyan Bindu coaching came face to face in Patna's Kadamkuan area. It is alleged that vandalism and a scuffle broke out outside Khan Sir's coaching centre that night, and that posters and banners of the institute were torn down. Khan Global Studies claimed the attack was carried out by people associated with Gyan Bindu, and the police registered a case based on that complaint. The FIR named Gyan Bindu director Roushan Anand, his brother Prince Yadav and several others as accused.

A Long Wait for Bail

Following the police investigation, Roushan Anand was arrested on 3 June and sent into judicial custody, and he had been held in Beur Jail ever since. His bail plea kept getting pushed back — on two earlier occasions the hearing could not take place at all. During this period, the court called for the case diary and sought a report from the police. The court has now finally granted him bail.

Case Was Also Filed Against Khan Sir

The name of Faisal Khan, alias Khan Sir, the director of Khan Global Studies, also surfaced prominently in the controversy. After a video of the firing during the incident became public, police filed a case against Khan Sir and his security guards as well, invoking sections for attempt to murder and the Arms Act. Khan Sir, however, approached the court in time and obtained relief on his anticipatory bail plea.

Brother Prince Yadav's Suspicious Death in Nepal

The matter grew far more serious when some videos of the firing went viral on social media, with claims that the sounds of gunshots could be heard in them. The accusations and counter-accusations between the two sides then sharpened further. Amid all this came a shocking development — Roushan Anand's brother Prince Yadav was found dead in suspicious circumstances at a hotel in Biratnagar, Nepal. Prince Yadav was reportedly a named accused in the case and had been absconding since the FIR was filed. Nepal police have now launched an investigation into the death.
