A coaching rivalry that has now landed on the government's desk
What began as a personal quarrel between two coaching operators in Patna, the capital of Bihar, is no longer a mere local dispute. The clash between Khan Sir and Roshan Sir has now reached the floor of state politics. Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has written a letter to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, demanding that the case be taken away from the state police and handed to the CBI.
From assault and firing to a death
In his letter, Tejashwi Yadav recalls that a few days ago a rivalry flared up between two institutes, Khan GS Research Centre and Gyan Bindu Coaching, leading to alleged assault, vandalism and firing. After that, both sides kept levelling serious accusations at each other, each claiming to be the victim while blaming the other for attacks and threats.
The matter escalated sharply when news broke that Prince Yadav, the brother of coaching operator Roshan Anand Sir, had died under suspicious circumstances in Nepal. Following the death, his family and supporters raised several questions and began demanding a fair investigation, pushing the entire affair into a new phase.
Tejashwi targets the government and Bihar Police
The Leader of the Opposition has taken direct aim at the working style of the government and the Bihar Police. He argues that the manner in which the case has been handled so far has bred doubt in people's minds. According to Tejashwi, a credible and transparent outcome is only possible if the investigation is handed to an independent agency, namely the CBI.
He has urged the Chief Minister to transfer the case to the CBI, keeping in view both public sentiment and the gravity of the matter. In his view, only a deep probe by an independent agency will bring out the truth and ensure that action is taken against the guilty as per the law.
Out of jail, Roshan Anand makes serious allegations
Amid the standoff, Roshan Anand Sir levelled several grave allegations against Faisal Khan, alias Khan Sir, as soon as he was released from jail. He claims he has been framed in a deliberate conspiracy.
My brother has been murdered. I too could be killed. An attempt was made on my life inside the jail.
Roshan Anand has also demanded an independent and fair investigation into the matter.
Khan Sir expresses grief and seeks a probe
On the other side, Khan Sir released a video expressing his grief over the murder of Prince Yadav, the brother of Roshan Anand Sir. He said he had no words to describe the incident. Khan Sir, too, has called for an investigation into the case.
All eyes now on the government's next move
For now, the political rhetoric around the issue has intensified. While the opposition is firm on its demand for a CBI probe, everyone is watching to see what stand the state government takes on the demand and which direction the investigation finally moves in.
