Northern Railway has announced a 35-day traffic block at Chandigarh Railway Station from September 10 to October 15, 2026, for infrastructure development. During this period, 12 trains will be cancelled, while several others face route diversions and short terminations.

Passengers planning to travel to or from Chandigarh during September and अक्टूबर must take note of a major traffic disruption. To accelerate infrastructure development and engineering works at the Chandigarh Railway Station, Northern Railway has announced a massive 35-day traffic block starting from September 10, 2026, and lasting until October 15, 2026. This extensive block will significantly impact regular rail movement across the division.

According to the railway administration, the block will result in the total cancellation of multiple trains, partial cancellations, route diversions, and temporary halts at alternate stations to manage passenger flow and complete construction tasks efficiently.

Additionally, temporary halts have been introduced at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) station between September 8 and October 14, 2026, for select trains to accommodate commuters.
