Treasury management firm BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has expanded its digital asset holdings with the acquisition of 9,926 Ethereum tokens, reinforcing its ongoing treasury accumulation strategy. Alongside the balance sheet update, company leadership highlighted a strategic thesis proposing that institutional tokenization and autonomous agentic AI could propel Ethereum to outperform Bitcoin (BTC) during the next market phase. From a technical standpoint, Ethereum continues to trade slightly above key short-term moving averages while facing persistent chart resistance at its 100-day moving average.
BitMine Treasury Operations and Share Repurchase Program
BitMine maintained its weekly buying rhythm, which has been active since June 2025, by purchasing 9,926 ETH over the past week. This addition pushed the firm's total Ethereum reserves to 5.815 million ETH. In tandem with its crypto asset accumulation, BitMine executed corporate buybacks by repurchasing 1.7 million shares of its common stock.
The company generates substantial recurring cash flow through native network staking. BitMine has staked 87 percent of its total Ethereum assets, equating to 5.067 million ETH, which yields approximately $250 million in annualized staking revenues. Beyond Ethereum, BitMine holds 210 BTC, $73 million in Eightco Holdings shares (ORBS), an $180 million strategic stake in Beast Industries, and $78 million in cash and short-term marketable securities.
The Fundamental Case: Real-World Assets and Agentic AI
BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee noted that structural changes within the blockchain ecosystem are favoring Ethereum's underlying infrastructure. He highlighted that the expansion of tokenized real-world assets and the deployment of agentic AI systems—autonomous AI agents conducting automated transactions on public ledgers—are driving network utilization. According to Lee, these structural tailwinds have helped the ETH/BTC valuation ratio break above its year-long downward channel, laying the foundation for ETH to deliver stronger relative returns than Bitcoin in the upcoming cycle.
ETF Capital Flows and Market Liquidation Metrics
Institutional investment via regulated exchange-traded products experienced a minor contraction last week. Data from SoSoValue revealed that US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $2.26 million in net capital outflows, snapping a consecutive five-week streak of net inflows.
In the derivatives market, short-term positioning generated heightened volatility. Figures from Coinglass showed $29.7 million in total Ethereum liquidations across exchanges over a 24-hour window. Short positions accounted for the majority of the wiped positions, taking $19 million in liquidations.
Ethereum Technical Structure and Critical Price Levels
On the daily price chart, Ethereum retains a neutral-to-bullish short-term configuration as price action rests above the 20-day Exponential Moving Average ($1,885) and the 50-day EMA ($1,868). However, the 100-day EMA at $1,918 continues to act as a firm ceiling, capping every upward breakout attempt since mid-July.
Momentum indicators reflect steady buying interest without reaching overbought territory. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) fluctuates near 56, while the Stochastic oscillator reads around 63. A sustained breakout above the $1,918 barrier would open technical pathways toward the horizontal resistance at $1,961, with secondary upside targets at $2,172 and $2,431. Conversely, if selling momentum resumes, primary support rests at the $1,885 and $1,868 cluster, followed by a stronger horizontal floor at $1,809. Deeper correction levels sit at $1,701 and $1,507.
Broader Cryptocurrency Market Overview
The wider digital asset market consolidated over the trading session. Live market metrics indicate Bitcoin (BTC-USD) is changing hands around $64,261, up 2.30 percent on the day. Bitcoin's RSI stands at 53 with its 20-day EMA at $63,782 as price tests support around the $63,000 threshold.
Elsewhere in major altcoins, Ripple (XRP) continues to hover around the $1.00 psychological support level, signaling a pause in momentum as sellers show signs of exhaustion. Zcash (ZEC) gained 5 percent, recovering from a 4 percent dip the previous week. Zcash user activity expanded as open interest rose 6 percent in 24 hours and shielded volume within the Ironwood pool surpassed 3 million ZEC tokens.
