The party said the event will be held on June 19, the birthday of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Congress has chosen to tie the occasion to employment. A job fair will be set up at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi, giving job-seeking youth a chance to connect directly with companies.
150 Companies on Board
The party stated that a total of 150 companies will take part in the fair. The idea is to bring job-seekers and a wide range of employers together in one place, sparing candidates the need to run from one office to another. Congress has framed it as a practical solution to the problem of unemployment.
