Congress Targets Dharmendra Pradhan Over NEET Paper Leak, Holds Torch March in Bhilai Demanding His Resignation

Congress took to X to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak and alleged CBSE irregularities, staging a torch march with IYC workers in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.

The country's principal opposition party, Congress, has launched a sharp attack on the central government over the NEET examination paper leak and alleged irregularities linked to CBSE. Through a post on its official X handle, the party has openly called on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down from his post.

What the Row Is About

In the post, Congress stated in blunt terms that those responsible for the NEET paper leak and the malpractice in CBSE will not be forgiven under any circumstances. The party argues that the minister must be held accountable for tampering that has affected students' futures, which is why it raised the rallying cry of 'Dharmendra Pradhan resign'.

Torch March in Bhilai

The protest was not confined to social media. In Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, workers of the IYC (Indian Youth Congress) took to the streets holding flaming torches in their hands. Congress described these torches as witnesses to its struggle, vowing to stand firm on every front in this fight for justice.

The Party's Stance

In its message, the party expressed confidence that it would not back down on the issue. In Congress's own words, it will neither stop, nor bow, nor break. Through this firm posture, the party sought to send a message to young people and examinees that transparency in the examination system is among its top priorities.

Public Reaction

The post drew a mixed response from users. Some backed the resignation demand and voiced anger over the irregularities in the exam, while many questioned whether such protests would actually deliver any concrete outcome, and a few directed jibes at the party's own approach.
