India's ruling party, the BJP, has used its official handle (@BJP4India) on the social media platform X to highlight what it describes as a sharp change in the country's technological identity over the past ten years.
A Decade-Long Shift
According to the party's post, the world a decade ago viewed India largely as a technology adopter — a place where tools and systems built elsewhere were put to use. That perception, the BJP says, is now changing quickly, with India rapidly stepping into the role of a technology provider.
Solutions That Could Serve Humanity
The post went on to claim that innovations and solutions originating from Bharat carry the potential to benefit a significant portion of humanity. Pointing to the 'Bharat Innovates' initiative, the party shared related material to underline this message.
Public Reaction
The post drew a mixed response. Some users welcomed the government's and the Prime Minister's efforts, while others cautioned that genuine global leadership will depend on how much India contributes to core intellectual property and original innovation — not merely on implementing technology developed elsewhere.
