A journey of faith turned into tragedy for one family. On Monday two young men met with a serious accident on the Udaipur Chittorgarh National Highway in the Bhadesar police station area, when their motorcycle crashed into a container parked on the highway as they rode home after offering prayers at the Shri Sanwaliyaji temple. One of them lost his life in the collision, while the other was left critically injured.
Crash Happened On The Way Back From Darshan
According to the information available, Prahlad Gurjar and Satyanarayan Chaudhary had travelled on a motorcycle to the Shri Sanwaliyaji temple to offer prayers. After the darshan, the two set off back towards their home. As they reached near Houda village, their bike struck the rear of a container standing on the highway. The container was reportedly parked in a no parking zone. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle wedged into the back of the container and both riders were flung onto the road.
Villagers Rushed To The Spot
The moment word of the crash spread, villagers from nearby and passersby on the route rushed towards the scene. Within minutes a large crowd had gathered and people began helping the injured. The locals immediately alerted an ambulance and the police. The team that reached the spot took both injured men to the district hospital in Chittorgarh for first aid.
Prahlad Gurjar Died During Treatment
Doctors at the district hospital began treating both the injured, but Prahlad Gurjar's condition was extremely critical and he could not be saved despite their efforts. He died during treatment. The condition of the other injured man, Satyanarayan Chaudhary, also remained worrying. After first aid, doctors referred him to Udaipur for better treatment.
Police Launch Investigation
As soon as the police were informed, the Bhadesar police station team reached the spot and closely inspected the site of the accident. The police placed the body of the deceased in the district hospital mortuary and moved ahead with the necessary legal formalities. They have also begun probing the causes of the crash. Preliminary information suggests the accident occurred because the bike hit the container standing on the highway. The police are further investigating whether the container had been parked in line with the prescribed rules.
