Air travellers in Uttar Pradesh are about to be spared a long and tiring detour. Starting July 1, a direct air link between Lucknow and Noida goes live, operated by IndiGo. Until now, getting from Lucknow to Noida meant first catching a flight to Delhi and then making a separate trip onward by metro or road. That hassle is set to disappear with the new connection.
Seven Days a Week, Two Daily Slots
The service will run daily — all seven days of the week — and travellers will have the choice of both a morning and an afternoon departure. Whether the trip is for early business or a midday journey, passengers can pick a flight that suits their schedule.
The Morning Schedule
In the morning slot, flight 6E 7624 departs Noida at 5:50 AM and lands in Lucknow at 7:00 AM, putting the whole journey at roughly 1 hour 10 minutes. On the return leg, flight 6E 7625 takes off from Lucknow at 7:25 AM and reaches Noida by 8:40 AM.
Afternoon and Night Flights
For those who prefer to travel later in the day, there is an afternoon option too. Flight 6E 7628 leaves Noida at 3:05 PM and arrives in Lucknow at 4:15 PM. Its return service, flight 6E 7629, departs Lucknow at 9:40 PM and touches down in Noida at 10:50 PM.
What the Fare Looks Like
Going by early booking data, a direct Noida-to-Lucknow ticket is priced at around 3,394 rupees. In the other direction, from Lucknow to Noida, the fare runs a little higher at roughly 4,021 rupees. These rates are broadly in line with what the Delhi-Lucknow air route costs, so the new option is unlikely to pinch the wallet much more than before.
Why Delhi Was the Only Way Earlier
So far, passengers heading from Lucknow to Noida had no direct route. They had to fly to Delhi airport first and then complete the rest of the journey separately by road or metro. The whole exercise added both time and cost. With the new direct flight, that double effort ends, making the trip faster, more comfortable and far more convenient than it used to be.
